I’m just trying to say that your ships and ship building will evolve through time and what your needs are and will eventually become nice ships. So while that ship was going through redesigns and fine tuning I needed a heavy salvage ship which I produced from my reliable miner.
These ships also don’t need to worry about space travel or leaving the planet’s atmosphere. By building a ship specifically to use Atmospheric Thrusters it makes them more efficient and less wasteful. Atmospheric Thrusters operate better on the surface of a planet. Well fast forward I became super annoyed about having to mine when I was doing a bunch of building (printing ships and eventually loaded a mod that would build and repair blocks when place so I could build multiple ships and finish my base) I need ores like crazy so I built a huge miner to get all my needs in one trip. Well after scouting I needed a miner and so I then converted it to a ugly underpowered miner and through several redesigns it became a reliable ship that could dig and transport a decent amount of ore. It was meant to just fly around and scout for ores while being super cheap in the case of it being shot down. First ever ship I built in survival was a super simplistic fugly flyer that was under powered. I’m somewhat new too and do the same thing.
